Laura Linney was one of the most renowned American actors to emerge from the past. Her strong and flimsy roles have earned her a cult famous. Her father was a celebrated playwright. However, she was raised as a single child by a single mom, a nurse. During the summers when she was with her father, Linney developed a passion for theater. Linney eventually pursued acting first at Brown University then at Juilliard School. Within a mere two months after graduating, she launched her Broadway-based career. Following that, she made her debut in the world of film and television. Since then she has been in many films, TV shows and stage performances. She has won many awards during her professional career. They include 4 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. Although she received many awards through the years, performing is always her main interest.
